Over half a tonne of hashish found

Anis is a state-run daily published mostly in Dari.

Police discovered and seized 675 kilograms of hashish in the Tera area of the south-eastern province of Paktia on the night of April 22. Provincial police chief Sulaimankhil said that the hashish was packed into a Toyota Land Cruiser and was about to be smuggled into Pakistan. The vehicle’s driver was arrested, but the suspected trafficker managed to escape.
