No Bird Flu in Diyala

Al-Sabah is a daily independent publicly owned newspaper.

The manager of the veterinary hospital in Diyala province, Dr. Hashim Ibrahim al-Zubaidi, said the province is free from bird flu. He said the province has modern equipment and can discover the disease in minutes. He said he is not worried about the bird flu cases in Turkey because no trucks from Turkey have passed through Diyala and migrant birds do not come to Iraq through Turkey. Health authorities have stopped frozen chickens being brought in through al-Muntheriya borders with Iran but have allowed eggs.
