Life has returned to normal in the capital after a three-day curfew following the aggression on the holy shrines of Samarra. Supermarkets reopened, civil servants returned to their offices and students went back to school. Petrol stations had abnormally high business and heavy traffic jams congested the streets. Bridges connecting the two sides of Baghdad were reopened and transportation ran again.
