Landmine wounds nine Afghan troops in Helmand

Erada is an independent daily run by the Afghan Media and Resource Centre.

Nine Afghan National Army troops were wounded in a landmine explosion in the Sangin district of the southern province of Helmand late on February 17, officials said. The blast took place when an Afghan military convoy was passing through a road in the Sangin district. The defence ministry confirmed the incident, blaming the Taleban for the attack.
