Kyrgyz Foreign Minister to visit Dushanbe

The Kyrgyz foreign minister, Ednan Karabaev, will visit Dushanbe on May 16-17 to hold talks with President Imomali Rahmon, Tajik foreign minister Hamrohon Zarifi and transport and communications minister Abdurahim Ashurov.

The talks will focus on regional development, stability, security and joint economic projects.

Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan are both rich in water resources and often take a similar stand on the use of water and energy when they are negotiating with the other Central Asian countries, which are located downstream.
