Kurdish Government Reunification Delayed

Hawlati is an independent weekly newspaper issued by Ranj Print House.

The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan has delayed submitting names of candidates to hold ministerial posts in the reunified Kurdish government because the central government in Baghdad has yet to be formed. (Kurdish prime minister) Nechervan Barzani expected to receive the candidates' names by April 14, but the deadline has been extended until the end of this month. Kurdistan Democratic Party politburo chief Fazil Mirani said, "Connecting the formation of the regional government to the central government does not help the situation in Iraqi Kurdistan."
