Ja'afari Meets Sistani

London-based Azzaman is issued daily by Saad al-Bazaz.

The outgoing prime minister, Ibrahim al-Ja'afari, visited Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, who affirmed that the new government must be formed based on efficiency, transparency and integrity that can better serve the people. He focused on the constitutional guidelines regarding distributing ministerial posts. Ja'afari declared that the period of forming the new government would be less than the three months that it took to form the previous government. Ja'afari traveled to Najaf with tight security.
