Prime Minister Maliki has stated that the government has successfully contained the fuel crisis of the last four months and that a "strategic plan" would end it. At a press conference attended by the Oil Minister Husein al-Shahristani, Maliki said administrative corruption, terror, and the remnants of the former regime were responsible for the fuel and electricity crisis.
