Former Taleban leader killed in Pakistan

Outlook is an independent daily published in English.

Unidentified gunmen shot and killed a former Taleban officials in Baluchistan province in south-west Pakistan on May. Mullah Samad Barakzai, who used to head the Taleban’s Department for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in the southern province of Helmand, was shot dead in Quetta, the provincial capital. A relative of the dead man said that no one had claimed responsibility, and the motive was still unclear.
