Former Bathists Restored

Kurdistani Nwe is a political daily issued by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.

The De-Bathification High Committee has submitted to parliament a draft law on restoring former Baathists who were sacked after the fall of Saddam. Dr Abdullah Aliawayee, a member of de-bathification committee, said the bill stipulates that most former Ba'athist will get their jobs back or will retire willingly. The draft does not apply to 1,200 who have been charged.
