The foreign ministry on March 27 summoned Pakistan’s ambassador and delivered a protest against an attack on the Afghan consulate in Quetta. Foreign ministry spokesman Navid Ahmad Moiz said the attack on the consulate took place on March 26 as Pakistani prime minister Shaukat Aziz was visiting Quetta. Some 400 protesters hurled stones at the consulate and damaged windows. The protest took place after Afghan soldiers killed 16 Pakistani nationals close to the border some days ago.
