Foreign currency seizure in Kunar

Afghan security forces have arrested four suspects in possession of thousands of US dollars and Pakistani rupees in the eastern province of Kunar, officials said on May 1. Defence ministry spokesman Zahir Azimi said the four were arrested during an operation in the Sarkano district. The soldiers recovered 55,000 dollars, 122,000 rupees and two cell phones, said the source. The official did not divulge the nationalities of those detained.
