Explosion near Indian consulate in Herat

Anis is a state-run daily published mostly in Dari.

There was a big explosion near the Indian consulate in the western province of Herat on May 7, but it left no casualties. Nesar Ahmad Paikar, head of the anti-crime branch at the provincial police headquarters, said that the blast was aimed at spreading fear among residents of the province. He blamed the enemies of peace and stability [Taleban] for the incident.
