Editorial: The First Parliamentary Session

Iraqis are looking forward to the newly-elected parliament's first session. It will calm the current crisis of national disagreements and will put in effect parliament's role as a (constitutional) body. Iraq is testing its elite and political leaders on how they solve problems and enhance the hopes and anticipations of the Iraqis to save the people. They are tested on how they deal with the country's interests, and if they can win over the hearts and minds of Iraqis. We have to encourage our leaders to use their disagreements for the people's interests and (to enhance) their relations. It is great for them to compromise to reach the glorious goal of serving the country and to use dialogue in solving all problems and disagreements. God might help our politicians to unite their positions, to save the country's resources and to ensure the enemies' plans fail.
