Afghan highway police have seized 300 kilograms of opium and hashish from a vehicle belonging to the Afghan National Army. The drugs were discovered on the Baghlan-Kabul highway, officials said. General Khalil, chief of the highway police in northern Afghanistan, said that the smugglers fled the scene but documents they left behind show that they belonged to the 205th Atal military corps based in the southern province of Helmand. Afghan National Army officials have not commented on the case.
