Demonstrations Call for End to Unemployment

Baghdad is a daily newspaper issued by the Iraqi National Accord.

More than 1,000 unemployed Iraqis in Amara held a demonstration, calling on officials to help them find jobs. They described the Social Protection Network as a "big lie." One of the demonstrators said he has waited more than two months to receive a payment from the network. He accused the people in charge of the network of nepotism in distributing payments. Amara provincial council formed a special committee to follow up the issue and to re-register the people who are included in the network.
