Death Penalty Concerns

Al-Sabah al-Jadeed is an independent daily paper.

A source from the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council said that the 310 prisoners have been sentenced to death between August 2004 and September 30 this year. The source also said that more death sentences are expected by the end of the year. Amnesty International has recently expressed concerns about the trend.
