Creating a Featured Case Study

Including notes on archiving old case studies.

Tuesday, 8 June, 2010

The Featured Case Study that appears on http://iwpr.net/make-an-impact is a view comprised of five Module Content items that are assigned the taxonomy term of Module Impact Slides.

http://iwpr.net/make-impact is an example of one of the Module Content items that make up a slide. Use the following steps to create new slides for a Featured Case Study.

  1. Content Management -> Create content -> Module Content
  2. Title
  3. Select Modules: Make an Impact Slides
  4. Body Text
  5. 1 Image (no caption)
  6. Weight: Determines the order of the slides in the slideshow. Lower values will show up first in the row of thumbnails.
  7. Remove Modules: Make an Impact Slides selection from old slides so that they no longer show up in the slide show.

Archiving Old Case Studies:
In order to archive old featured case studies, the five Module Content items will need to be combined into a new story. Once a case study story is created, it will be visible in the main case studies page view http://iwpr.net/make-an-impact/case-studies

  1. Follow the instructions for creating a story and add the content from the five old slides into a single new story.
  2. Select Site Section: Case Study when creating the new story instead of the typical Report News.
