Communications Plans Unveiled

Al-Sabah is a daily independent publicly owned newspaper.

The ministry of communication has set out plans to improve telecommunication and internet services throughout Iraq. Mohammed Tawfiq Allawi, the minister, said that under the plan telephones would be installed in every house. An electronic government system is also in the works, allowing government services to be delivered over the internet.
