A roadside bomb exploded next to a Canadian military convoy in the southern province of Kandahar on January 23, but caused no casualties, officials said. One vehicle was slightly damaged. The explosion happened shortly after a Canadian military convoy crossed through the Loya Wiala area of Kandahar city. The attack came just days after a suicide bomber killed four Canadian soldiers and a number of passers-by in Kandahar.
