Kurdistani Nwe is a political daily issued by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.

Iraqi Kurdistan president Massoud Barzani met media representatives of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, KDP, and Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, PUK, the two major Kurdish parties. Barzani told both of them they should point out government deficiencies and propose solutions. He said the authorities shouldn't restrict press freedom but there were limits.
