Barazani and Participation in the New Government

Kurdistan region president Masood Barazani maintained that all political blocs must reach an accord so they can begin implementing the new government's agenda. He added that the Kurdistan Alliance's participation in the new government will depend on the government's agenda and on constitutional bases. He affirmed that all of the political lists that won (parliamentary seats) in the elections should participate in the government and that not one should be excluded. He denied that the Kurds might ally with other blocs against the United Iraqi Alliance. He hoped for a democratic and federal Iraq under which both Kurds and Arabs live peacefully after their long struggle for freedom and democracy.
