Al-Sabah al-Jadeed is an independent daily paper.

Police sources announced that a group of militants wearing Iraqi army uniforms attacked a government bank yesterday in western Baghdad and stole around 840,000 dollars. A source from the interior ministry told Aswat al-Iraq, "The militants entered the bank pretending to be members of the Iraq army collecting their salaries. But as soon as they entered, they threatened the employees and stole the money that was there."
