In a TV address on March 23, President Kurmanbek Bakiev is expected to set out a package of measures he intends to undertake in light of his March 21 meeting with Almaz Atambaev of the opposition Movement for Reforms on March 21. Atambaev has already said the president is prepared to give in to most of the movement’s demands - to set up a coalition government including opposition members, carry out constitutional reform, reform state broadcasting and consult the opposition when senior members of the security forces are appointed.
