Al-Taakhi is issued daily by the Kurdistan Democratic Party.

Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said Iraq's request for neighbouring states to hold their next conference in Baghdad was geared towards them reaffirming their support for the country. He said that his ministry has invited the six states that neighbour Iraq along with Egypt, Bahrain, the Arab League, and the Islamic Congress Organisation to the March 15 gathering, which will take place prior to the inauguration of the annual Arab Summit in Riyadh. Zebari asserted that it was purely an Iraqi initiative to have the conference in Baghdad.
