Association of Muslim Scholars Aids Elections

() A prominent figure from the Association of Muslim Scholars issued an edict encouraging all Sunnis to participate in the elections. The head of the association in the south, Sheikh Yousif al-Hassan, said all Iraqis should have representatives in parliament, municipal councils and provincial councils. He said if they are outside of decision-making circles, their (voices) will not be considered. For this reason he urged Sunnis to participate heavily in the coming elections. He called on Sunnis to vote for the (Iraqi Accordance Front) list led by (Sunni Arab leader) Adnan al-Dulaimi.
