A conference of south-east European countries has agreed to dispatch 400 soldiers to Afghanistan. The troops will be deployed within the framework of NATO. The decision was made on December 6 at the end of a meeting of defence ministers from 13 south-east European states in Washington. It has not been announced where the contingent will be located.
