6 мая президент Таджикистана Эмомали Рахмон отбывает в Катар, и дальше в Иран. Поездка президента в Иран будет ответным визитом, после посещения иранского президента Махмуда Ахмадинеджада в конце июля прошлого года. Основной темой переговоров станут ирано-таджикские энергетические проекты – строительство Сангтудинской ГЭС-2, и высоковольтной ЛЭП Сангтуда-Мешхед – в которые привлечены иранские инвестиции. Таджикистан придает большое значение быстрому завершению Сангтудинской ГЭС, которая позволит избавиться от энергетической зависимости от Узбекистана в зимнее время.
