Азербайджанские и, поддерживаемые Арменией, вооруженные силы договорились о хрупком режиме прекращения огня после самых тяжелых, за последние десятилетия, боев в приграничных районах Нагорного Карабаха.

Были убиты и ранены гражданские лица с обеих сторон, а здания расположенные у районов ведения боевых действий были разрушены.

После того как смолкли залпы орудий, жители Азербайджана, проживающие у линии фронта, стали подсчитывать цены вспышки насилия.
