CyberArabs, Issue 3 (Arabic)

This is the third issue of Cyber Arabs, a magazine dealing with digital security issues in the Arab world. The focus of this issue is on mobile phone security. Mobile phones are the main access point to the internet for most people in the Arab world, and keeping your device safe is extremely important. Because of their constant connection to the telephone network, it is relatively easy for third parties to get into your phone and steal sensitive data. We therefore explain how you can protect yourself against such attacks.

Furthermore, we touch on subjects like encrypting communications, the safe use of social media, and a series of apps to circumvent censorship in your country. However, it should borne in mind that even if you use all the tools and take all the right precautions, you will still be at risk if the people with whom you work and communicate do not know how to protect themselves. It is therefore in your own interests to ensure that all your friends and contacts, as well as you yourself, learn as much as possible about how to stay safe when using the internet.
