Norway to double forces in Afghanistan

Cheragh is an independent daily run by the Development and Democracy Association.

Norway has decided to double the number of its forces from 300 to 600 in the future, the country’s defence minister Anne-Grete Stroem-Erichsen said. There are currently some 300 Norwegian soldiers serving in the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan. The minister said her government would continue to support the reconstruction process of the war-shattered nation.
