20,000 jobs in 100 days – Ajimobi promises

The Governor of Oyo State in South-West Nigeria, Senator Abiola Ajimobi has promised that his administration will create 20,000 jobs within the first 100 days in office.

Ajimobi made the pledge to a mammoth crowd including traditional rulers, clerics and leaders of thought across the 33 Local Government Areas of Oyo
State who witnessed his inauguration and that of his deputy on Sunday.

The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III led the retinue of royal fathers from across the state to the event.

Other dignitaries who graced the occasion included the Governors of Osun and Ekiti States together with the National Chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Chief Adebisi Akande.

Addressing the gathering shortly after the oath-taking, Governor Ajimobi vowed to restore the glory of Oyo State as a pace-setter. He said the policy thrust of the present administration shall be guided by the manifesto of the party, the Action Congress of Nigeria.
