Kurdistani New is issued daily by Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.

Civil society organizations are holding a conference to commemorate the February 1, 2004 martyrs (two suicide attacks on the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and Kurdistan Democratic Party offices in Erbil that killed than 100 people.) The conference, held under the auspices of Iraqi Kurdistan president Massoud Barzani (in the Iraqi Kurdistan capital of Erbil,) is titled phenomenon of terror in Kurdistan: factors and solutions. The conference will last for three days and more than 250 people are participating. It will present academic research about terror in Kurdistan; factors affecting the emergence of terrorism; how to confront terrorism; and discussions on the anti-terror law.
