Documentary Film Production

Closing date for applications: 31 August 2019
Project name: Giving Voice, Driving Change - From the Borderland to the Steppes

The Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR) is accepting proposals for the production of a documentary film.

This film should highlight common challenges that countries in Central Asia, South Caucasus and across the Black Sea in Moldova and Ukraine have faced since gaining independence from the Soviet Union. Themes may range from human rights, governance and armed conflicts to issues of environment, information crisis, cross-border resource disputes, healthcare and education.

The request for proposals is part of the ongoing project Giving Voice, Driving Change - from the Borderland to the Steppes Project implemented by IWPR offices across the region. The aim of the project is to forge greater synergy between Central Asia and Eastern Europe by supporting cross-regional cooperation and constructive policy debates.

The selected organisation should undertake the entire production process and is free to offer any angle for a film that adequately responds to IWPR’s requirements. Project details can be viewed here.

IWPR will offer full financial support to the selected organisation for the production of the film.
