Paul Tooher
Syndication Editor (US)

Paul Tooher has worked with IWPR since 1999, syndicating IWPR articles during the Kosovo war and now distributing IWPR stories to hundreds of newspapers across the US on a weekly basis. Assistant managing editor of The Providence Journal in Rhode Island, Paul has worked as a trainer and media development consultant in southeastern Europe and Russia, establishing a Moscow-based news-exchange service among regional newspapers in Russia in 1997. The author of several articles on Russia and India that have appeared in newspapers across the US, Paul has been awarded fellowships from Pew International Journalism Program and the German Marshall Fund.
