Don Hinrichsen has extensive experience in fundraising, outreach and advocacy, programming and media relations. He is an award-winning writer and former editor-in-chief of two major publications – World Resources Report and Ambio magazine (published by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences). He was a media and advocacy officer and fundraiser for the UN Population Fund and UNDP, working in more than 100 countries, mostly in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Currently, he concentrates on European donors with particular expertise in Caucasus, Central Asia, Afghanistan and Pakistan, the Balkans and Middle East.
