Al-Mada is issued daily by Al-Mada institution for Media, Culture, and Arts.

The European Union has pledged 200 million euros to help the Iraqi government rebuild the country. European Union spokeswoman for foreign relations, Emma Audwin, said the aid symbolizes the commission's commitment to help the new government and the Iraqi people. Benita Ferrero-Waldner, the EU's commissioner for external relations, said that she welcomed the new national unity government in Iraq. She said the EU would continue to be an active partner of the Iraqi people and government.
