International Justice Programme Director

From IWPR’s office in The Hague, Marcel leads IWPR’s programs on the International Criminal Court and the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.

Senior Reporter

Before moving to The Hague, Katy worked as a reporter for Jane's, travelling extensively to analyse the interplay between international defence forces, the weapons trade, and conflict prevention. Before this she was awarded the BBC's Jill Dando Award. At the BBC, she worked as a tri-media reporter and producer, undertaking investigative reports and developing a series of vignettes for TV. She has also worked as an embedded reporter on NATO warships, and won an award to develop an interactive travel website for those in pursuit of adventure.

Africa Editor

Simon Jennings is an experienced print and radio journalist. He has reported extensively on war crimes trials at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia and the International Criminal Court as well on as the conflicts in Sudan, Uganda and DRC. He manages the IWPR Facing Justice radio programme in Uganda as well as its sister production, On the Scale, aired in Darfur. Simon has a master’s degree in anthropology and a postgraduate diploma in journalism. He has worked extensively as a humanitarian in refugee camps in northern Uganda.

Finance & Administration Officer

Robbert van de Waerdt has worked in Uganda, France, Tunisia and the Netherlands in various positions related to administrative, programme, educational and financial services for NGOs, UN and media organisations. He has a master’s degree in economics and development studies. As a finance and administration officer, he oversees the financial administration of the IWPR office in The Hague as well as projects in the Balkans, DRC, Uganda, Sudan and Kenya.
