Turbulent Year in Kyrgyzstan

In this programme, IWPR reviewed the key events of the past year in Kyrgyzstan, which included a presidential election and the formation of a new coalition government.

Other issues covered in past IWPR reports and recalled in this programme included the continuing controversy over Islamic dress, and a campaign for justice by the mothers children infected with HIV at a hospital in Osh.

The audio programme, in Russian and Kyrgyz, went out on national radio stations in Kyrgyzstan, as part of IWPR project work funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
